Edit: Was WaW the first time CoD had split-screen co-op campaign (and was that redundant or am I just tired?)? If so, then I understand a bit more. Also, more and more games are coming out completely devoid of cheats when their previous games had loads of them. Looking at you World At War, took out half the draw distance and turned the screens into small boxes. Seems that not as many games have local split screen anymore.
